HOW IT ALL STARTED
In 2010, a member of the congregation presented a grand piano to Cults Parish Church, in memory of his wife. A group of music-lovers from the congregation decided to celebrate the gift by organising three or four charity recitals and here we are, several years later still providing wonderful musical programmes for your enjoyment.  Most of the recitals are presented under the aegis of the parish church, but we also host recitals as part of local festivals eg Aberdeen Internation Youth Festival, and the Sound Festival.

THE SANCTUARY
The seating capacity of the sanctuary is 280.
It is furnished with individual seats and carpeted.
The sanctuary is equipped with:
• A Waldstein baby grand piano
• A pipe organ – 1931 Rushworth and Draper, two manual and pedal
• An audio address system.

WE AIM TO PROVIDE

  • A platform for both established and young local performers and a means of helping young
performers who are seeking to establish a career.
  • Easy, affordable access to live music with entrance to the recitals usually by donation.
  • A channel for giving.  The net proceeds of the recitals, after payment of musicians' fees and
travel expenses, are given to charity.

Programme 2017/18

We greatly appreciate the generosity of our audiences, which enables us to maintain the level of our giving to charity, as it is increasingly difficult to attract sponsorship to support these concerts.
